Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Announces 2015 Western Massachusetts High School Players of the Year

Mar 09, 2015 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the recipients of the fifth annual Western Massachusetts Player of the Year awards - Ty Nichols of Putnam Vocational Technical High School and Emily Rosse of Hoosac Valley High School. The awards are presented annually at the Western Massachusetts Senior High School All-Star Games held Friday, March 20th on the Jerry Colangelo Court of Dreams at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Finalists Announced for First-Ever Hall of Fame College Basketball Awards

Mar 09, 2015 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the five finalists for each of their inaugural college basketball awards - the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award, the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award, the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year Award presented by cConnect and the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award.

Final Five Candidates Announced for 2015 Bob Cousy Award

Mar 09, 2015 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the five finalists for the 2015 Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award presented by College of the Holy Cross. Named after Hall of Famer and former Boston Celtic and Holy Cross guard Bob Cousy, the annual honor now in its twelfth year recognizes the top point guards in men’s division one college basketball. A national committee comprised of top college basketball personnel narrowed the original watch list of 35 candidates down to 17 and now the final five.

Basketball Hall of Fame Announces Winners of 2015 Morgan Wootten Award

Mar 02, 2015 - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the winners of the 2015 Morgan Wootten Award for Lifetime Achievement in Coaching High School Basketball. This prestigious award is named after Morgan Wootten, who is one of two high school coaches enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame. The annual award recognizes two high school coaches, one for boys’ basketball and one for girls’ basketball.
