PHOENIX – The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the field of teams and game schedule for the 2023 Hoophall West, an annual high school basketball showcase now in its 11th year. The event will take place at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale from Wednesday, November 29 to Saturday, December 2.
“Over the last 11 years, Hoophall West has grown a reputation as a premier showcase that brings together top talent on the local and national levels,” said John L. Doleva, President & CEO of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. “We are excited to see what the 11th edition of Hoophall West has in store, as this year features several of the top 100 players in both the girl's and boy's Class of 2024 rankings. This year also brings a new level of excitement surrounding our regional games, with three local rivalries on the docket for Thursday.”
Marquee high school games for 2023 include the girls matchup Desert Vista (AZ) vs. Mater Dei (CA), and the boys matchups Perry (AZ) vs. Archbishop Stepinac (NY), Arizona Compass Prep (AZ) vs. Wasatch Academy (UT), and the local rivalry games Sunnyslope vs. Millennium, Desert Mountain vs. Notre Dame Prep, and Boulder Creek vs. Liberty.
