Bentonville, Ark. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the field of teams and game schedule for the 2022 Hoophall South, an annual basketball showcase now in its second year. The event serves as one of three in the Hoophall Regional series, which culminates each year in Springfield, Massachusetts at Hoophall Classic – a showcase that has featured many of the top prep teams and players for over 20 years. Hoophall South will take place at Bentonville (Ark.) High School from Thursday, December 15th to Saturday, December 17th.

“We are looking forward to our return to Bentonville for the second year and bringing together talent from local and national programs at Hoophall South,” said John L. Doleva, President & CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. “Hoophall South provides Bentonville and the surrounding area with the opportunity to experience top high school talent firsthand, including five of ESPN’s Top 100 players in this year’s class.”

In addition to local participants, the tournament will feature teams from Illinois, North Carolina, California, Arizona and Nevada. Marquee matchups for 2022 include Harvard Westlake High School vs. Whitney Young High School, Simeon Career Academy vs. Arizona Compass Prep, and the local rivalry between Bentonville and Bentonville West.
