Class of 2020 will be Enshrined on Saturday, August 29th in Springfield
Springfield, Mass. – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is pleased to announce additional details regarding the Enshrinement Weekend for the highly anticipated Class of 2020. The Enshrinement process will culminate with the Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday, August 29th in Springfield, Mass. – the Birthplace of Basketball. The list of nominees was revealed on December 19th and can be found at www.hoophall.com. First time nominees on the ballot include Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett and Chris Bosh, along with Swin Cash and Tamika Catchings.
Enshrinement Weekend will begin at Mohegan Sun on Friday, August 28th with two new events. The headline event at Mohegan Sun will be the newly formatted Tip-Off Celebration and Awards Gala (see below). The Class of 2020 and over 50 returning Hall of Famers will then journey to Springfield, Mass. for the annual celebratory events taking place at the newly renovated Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Springfield Symphony Hall. The second day of events in Springfield will include a special community-focused Celebration Day, with a reduced admission rate for the Hall of Fame, VIP appearances, new Gallery openings, contests and entertainment.

Enshrinement 2020 Media Availability at Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, CT)
The official media availability for the Hall of Fame Class of 2020. This availability is only open to credentialed members of the media along with VIP Package ticket holders and will be held at Mohegan Sun. To apply for credentials, please log onto hoophall.com/media in early June.
Enshrinement Tip-Off Celebration and Awards Gala at Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, CT)
The Class of 2020, along with the Hall’s prestigious annual award winners, will be celebrated at this new televised Enshrinement event at Mohegan Sun. This event will include the awarding of the Class of 2020 rings presented by Baron Championship Rings and the presentation of the Class of 2020 Hall of Fame jackets. The program will additionally highlight the presentation of the Hall's annual John Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award, the Mannie Jackson: Basketball's Human Spirit Awards and the Curt Gowdy Media Awards, including a new dynamic addition to the Curt Gowdy Award recognition program which will be announced in February.

Enshrinement Ceremony VIP Reception at the Basketball Hall of Fame (Springfield, MA)
Toast the incoming Hall of Fame Class of 2020 at the Basketball Hall of Fame prior to the sport’s ultimate recognition. The party is limited to those ticket holders seated in the Orchestra, Grand Tier and Loge for the Enshrinement Ceremony. Shuttle service between the Hall of Fame and Symphony Hall will be provided.

The Class of 2020, returning Hall of Famers, as well as many of the sport’s icons walk the red carpet in a live television broadcast outside Symphony Hall. This show sets the stage for the Enshrinement Ceremony.

Hall of Fame's Springfield Celebration Day at the Basketball Hall of Fame (Springfield, MA)
Join the Hall of Fame in a variety of activities at the Hall of Fame, including the official ribbon cutting of the Hall's fully renovated museum and galleries. The day will also include clinics on Center Court, Hall of Famer appearances, and entertainment. The Hall of Fame will be open to the entire Springfield community for an exciting day of activity.
Enshrinement 2020 ticket plans and on-sale information will be announced on Monday, February 10th. The Class of 2020 Finalists and Award Winners will be announced Friday, February 14th at NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago, followed by the on-sale of exclusive VIP Packages.
