Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Women's Basketball Coaches Announce Five Finalists for 2018 Nancy Lieberman Award

Feb 26, 2018 - SPRINGFIELD, MASS. - The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the five finalists for the 2018 Nancy Lieberman Award. Named after the Hall of Famer, three-time All-American and two-time National Champion at Old Dominion University, the annual honor now in its nineteenth year recognizes the top point guards in Division I women's college basketball. To be considered for this prestigious award, candidates must exhibit the floor leadership, play-making and ball-handling skills of the award's namesake.

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Announces Selections for 2018 Western Massachusetts Senior All-Star Games

Feb 23, 2018 - SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the team rosters for the 2018 Western Massachusetts Senior High School All-Star Games. The 2018 All-Star event will be held on Friday, March 23 on the Jerry Colangelo Court of Dreams at the Hall of Fame. A total of 60 players were selected from different divisions within the region to participate in three games that will showcase the top seniors in their final high school contest.

Basketball Hall of Fame Announces Winners of 2018 Morgan Wootten Award

Feb 22, 2018 - SPRINGFIELD, MASS. — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the winners of the 2018 Morgan Wootten Award for Lifetime Achievement in Coaching High School Basketball. This prestigious award is named after Morgan Wootten, who served as the Head Coach of DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsvile, Maryland for 46 years and is one of three high school coaches enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame. The annual award recognizes two outstanding high school coaches, one for boys’ basketball and one for girls’ basketball.

Harley Redin & Jim Host to Receive Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame’s 2018 John W. Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award

Feb 17, 2018 - LOS ANGELES, CA – Announced today by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame at NBA All-Star weekend, the winners of the 2018 John W. Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award are Harley Redin, a 6-time champion AAU women’s basketball coach, and Jim Host, founder of Host Communications - a pioneering collegiate sports marketing and production company. Both Redin and Host will be honored at Enshrinement Weekend in Springfield, Mass., the birthplace of basketball, during Enshrinement Weekend in September of 2018.
