Sylvia Hatchell

Sylvia Hatchell currently ranks third on the all-time women’s wins list, right behind Jody Conradt and her friend and mentor Pat Summitt. Hatchell is the only coach to win national championships at three different levels – AIAW, NAIA, and NCAA. Her 1993-94 North Carolina Tar Heels won the NCAA title in dramatic fashion on a last-second three-point shot. Hatchell won her other titles at Frances Marion College in Florence, South Carolina. She reached the 900-win plateau this past season. She has been involved in coaching for nearly 40 years now and more than 1000 career games.
