MEDIA POLICIES
The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame reserves the right to grant media access at its discretion. Each outlet is limited to no more than two media representatives, unless part of any radio or television crews. Each representative is required to submit an online request form. In some cases, additional materials or completed web sites might be requested for review in order to grant access.
The Basketball Hall of Fame reserves the right to deny access to any non-traditional media outlet such as independent outlets such as blogs, social media sites and newsletters. Please review the complete Media Credential policies below.

COMPLETE MEDIA POLICIES
All media credentials are issued for the sole purpose of providing venue access to an individual (“Bearer”) who is working on an assignment for a legitimate news organization or an authorized provider of event-related services (as employee or agent) in connection with a Basketball Hall of Fame event, activities and interviews, relating thereto and Bearer represents that he or she is attending the Event solely for such purpose. All credentials are non-transferable, and unauthorized use of this credential or violation of its terms may subject Bearer and/or the assigning news organization to ejection from the venue, revocation of the credential, denial of access to Basketball Hall of Fame events in the future, prosecution for civil or criminal trespass, and any other remedies available under law.
Unless expressly authorized in writing by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Inc. (“BHOF”) the use, distribution, exhibition, reproduction, adaptation, display, performance or publication in any form of any photograph, drawing, account or description of the Event or any excerpt of the Event, taken or made by Bearer or his or her assigning news organization shall be limited to news coverage of the Event by assigning news organization to which this credential is issued.
Neither Bearer, nor his or her assigning news organization shall be permitted to record, transmit, use or distribute any film, video or audio of the Event (or any excerpts thereof); provided however, that if the assigning news organization has been authorized by BHOF to record, transmit or use film or audio excerpts by separate written authorization from the BHOF, it may do so in accordance with the terms of such written authorization.
As between BHOF and Bearer or Bearer’s employer or assigning new organization, all ownership, copyright and property rights of the Event (including without limitations, the statistics thereof) and in any telecast, broadcast, transmission or recording thereof shall remain the sole property of BHOF, and no such rights are conferred to or intended to be conferred to, or created on behalf of, Bearer or any other person or entity by issue of a credential.
Bearer and his or her employer or assigning news organization (I) assume all risk incident to the performance of services by Bearer and assume all risks incident to Bearer’s attendance at the Event, in each case, however caused whether by negligence or otherwise; (II) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the governors, trustees, officers, affiliates, agents or employers of BHOF from and against all liability, loss, damage or expense resulting from or arising out of (x) Bearer’s presence at the arena, (y) Bearer’s acts or omissions and (z) the presence at the arena of any cameras, wires, cabling or other equipment brought on the premises by the Bearer; and (III) grant permission to BHOF its affiliates and their respective designees to utilize without compensation Bearer’s image, likeness and/or voice in any photographs or live or recorded video or audio display or other transmission or reproduction of the Event or in any excerpt hereafter.
BHOF or its designee may at any time revoke this credential and/or any of the rights granted hereunder for any reason in its sole discretion. In case of any dispute regarding the terms and conditions of this agreement, Massachusetts law will apply (without regard to is choice-of-law principles).
No autographs are allowed during media access periods.
