Website Accessibility Statement

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Inc. (the “Basketball Hall of Fame”) has an ongoing commitment to achieving the highest levels of satisfaction for all aspects for the Basketball Hall of Fame online experience. As an essential and integral part of these efforts, the Basketball Hall of Fame is dedicated to offering a quality online experience at its website, Hoophall.com (the “Website”) to fans with disabilities that is equal to the experience provided to fans without disabilities. 

To assist in achieving these accessibility goals with respect to the Website, the Basketball Hall of Fame has committed to the Website being designed, developed and operated in substantial conformance with generally recognized and accepted guidelines and/or standards for website accessibility (“Standards”). As these Standards may change and/or evolve over time, they are currently the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0, Level AA, which consists of a set of guidelines adopted by a private group designed to maximize accessibility of web content and constitutes the standard for accessibility being followed throughout the world. 

Working with experienced accessibility consultants, the Basketball Hall of Fame has been continuing to take the steps necessary to achieve substantial compliance with the Standards. The Basketball Hall of Fame provides training to the necessary individuals on an ongoing basis regarding accessible website design and maintenance. The Website will continue to be assessed on a recurring basis from both an engineering and user experience including the use of assistive technology such as screen-readers and screen-magnifiers, and the involvement users with disabilities who such assistive technologies.

Please note that the Website may link to or interface with third-party websites of Basketball Hall of Fame Vendors that the Basketball Hall of Fame does not control. These third-party vendors may not have undertaken the efforts that the Basketball Hall of Fame has to comply with the Standards. In order to maximize accessibility, we are working with our vendors to encourage them to voluntarily comply with the Standards.
