Doubleheader to feature UConn, Oklahoma, Florida State and Michigan

 

Uncasville, CT (May 30, 2019) – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the matchup of the sixth annual Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase presented by Citi on Sunday, December 22 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. Local favorite and 11-time National Champions UConn (American Athletic Conference) will take on Oklahoma (Big 12 Conference), and Florida State (Atlantic Coast Conference) will faceoff with Michigan (Big Ten Conference).

“The Basketball Hall of Fame is proud to celebrate the women’s game with our sixth annual Women’s Showcase at a beautiful venue in Mohegan Sun,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. “UConn fans have been treated to some exceptional performances in this event over the years, and we know our three additional participating schools will enjoy the first-class environment as well.”

The Women’s Showcase is one event in the Hall of Fame’s series of collegiate events, which continues to grow in an effort to celebrate the game outside the museum walls. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is proud to continue its relationship with Learfield IMG College for sponsorship representation of its portfolio of collegiate events.

General public tickets will go on sale Friday, September 6 at 10am ET via all Ticketmaster outlets and the Mohegan Sun Arena box office. Game times, television details and an exclusive pre-sale opportunity via Citi will be released at later date.
